McDonald's Big Mac Vs Jollibee Champ

Big Mac

The Big Mac was created by Jim Delligatti, one of Ray Kroc's earliest franchisees, who was operating several restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. The Big Mac was invented in the kitchen of Delligatti's first McDonald's franchise which was located on McKnight Road in Ross Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. The Big Mac first debuted at Delligatti's Uniontown, Pennsylvania restaurant in 1967 at a selling price of 45 cents. It was designed to compete with a similar Big Boy sandwich. The sandwich was so popular that it was added to the menu of all U.S. restaurants in 1968. One of its most distinctive features is a middle slice of bread ("club" layer) used to stabilize contents and prevent spillage. The Big Mac is known worldwide and is often used as a symbol of American capitalism. The Economist has used it as a reference point for comparing the cost of living in different countries — the Big Mac Index — as it is so widely available and is comparable across markets.

Nutritional values
In the United States, the Big Mac has 540 kcal (2,340 kJ), 29 grams of fat and 25 grams of protein. In Australia, the burger is slightly smaller with 493 kcal (2,060 kJ) and 26.9 grams of fat, but similar amounts of protein with 25.1 grams, while the Mexican burger tops out the scales at 600 kcal and 33 grams of fat.

Champ
Jollibee foods, a Philippine famous food chain store, has just launched a new item in their menu. It is a 1/3 pound sandwich, called Jollibee Champ. There used to be a JollibeeChamp burger before, but they bring it back and this time, it is heavier, meatier, and yummier.I am definitely a Jollibee fan, and their new Jollibee Champ burger is yet another reason for me to visit and buy some. A little under $3 dollar, one piece might be pricey, but you’ll definitely feel full when you consume one and a drink. It is best meal for someone active and need lot of energy to fill an active work in the office after lunch. The beef patty is tastier and juicier, thicker and heavier. I also like the lettuce and tomatoes. I would love additional pickle, but it isn’t present on this Champ. The dressing is also richer compared to regular Jolly burgers, same as the buns being used, maybe twice as large as the regular buns used by Jollibee. And definitely this meal is on top of my picks, second to other burger, Amazing Aloha. Unlike Aloha, Champ only have a single patty instead of double, but the latter has more beefy taste, and worth the extra money.

Street Foods

Filipinos are known to enjoy the average three meals a day plus desserts or “merienda” as most Filipinos call it. One of the qualities that Filipinos possess is their ingenuity to make up almost anything into something new, creative yet cost-sufficient, including food. People of other countries may prefer dining and eating pizzas when hunger pangs strikes. Filipinos on the other hand race to the streets to satisfy their hunger for favorite Pinoy street food for a few pesos. Everywhere you look, it is common to find people crowding make shift or portable stalls in the streets. These street foods are easy to find outside school gates, churches, parks and even in malls where they offer most exotic delicacies. Let’s take a trip to the streets of Philippines and rediscover Pinoy street food.

Balut

It is no surprise to hear somebody shouting the word balut in the middle of the night. It is a common and everyday food in some countries such as Philippines, Cambodia and Vietnam. It is a fertilized duck or chicken egg with a nearly developed embryo inside, boiled and eaten in its shells. Balut is rich in protein, hearty snack and believed to be an aphrodisiac. This chicken egg can be bought usually from balut vendors who roam around the city at night.

Adidas

When someone hands you Adidas as a food, don’t be surprise to see sticks of chicken feet. Chicken feet are a common delicacy of Filipinos. After the claws and tips of the toes are sliced off, the feet are washed in hot water and tough layer of the skin is scraped off.

Kwek-kwek

Here’s an inexpensive yet delicious snack. Kwek-kwek is a boiled chicken egg, dipped in orange colored dough and fried in deep oil. It tastes best when paired with sliced cucumber and vinegar with chili. Kwek kwek is almost the same street food compared to Tokneneng but quail eggs are used instead of chicken eggs.

Isaw

Who says intestines of chickens should be thrown away? Isaw can serve as a dessert or a good meal with rice in Philippines. The intestines are prepared with repeated process of being turned inside out and cleaned again and again until it is clear from anything inside it. They are then either boiled then grilled or immediately grilled in barbeque sticks.

Ukoy

Ukoy pronounced as Okoy is a batter-based, deep-fried street food in the Philippines. It normally includes bean sprouts and very small shrimps shells and all in the batter. It is commonly dipped in a combination of vinegar and chili.

This are the street foods that I like to eat most of the time when ever I go around the city. This foods are always affordable and can make you satisfied.

Stratocaster VS Telecaster Guitar

The two guitars are visually quite easy to identify from one another. The Telecaster has a slightly smaller body, and the two instruments are shaped differently. Stratocasters are rounder at the back while Telecasters have a slightly more squared off rear end. In addition, the top cutaway on the Strat leaves more of a point on the body of the guitar, while the Telecaster has a blunter look. The bottom cutaway on the Telecaster is more pronounced, leaving a greater gap with the rest of the body also angling further away from the guitar. The pickup configurations on these guitars is not always 100 percent different, because there are many special editions, custom jobs and limited products that have pickups in different configurations. However, the standard Telecaster and Stratocaster, have consistent pickup arrangements which are different. A Stratocaster typically has three single coil pickups. Telecasters, on the other hand, only have two pickups, although they are also single coil units. The headstock on the two guitars is also slightly different. Aside from the logo imprint which is obviously not the same, the shape of the two headstocks is also different. The Stratocaster has a sharper point on the bottom of the piece and is wider than that of the Telecaster. The difference on the necks between the two guitars is that on the standard models, the option to get a Stratocaster with a rosewood fingerboard is available, while Telecasters come only with maple fingerboards. The controls on the two guitars are also significantly different. On a Stratocaster, there are three knobs and a selector switch, while on a Telecaster there are two knobs and a selector switch. The pickup selector on the Telecaster is a three-position switch while on a Strat you can choose from five pickup configurations. Each has a master volume knob. The two tone knobs on the Stratocaster are assigned to the neck and middle pickup respectively. The tone knob on the Telecaster is a master tone knob that controls the tone to both pickups. The knobs on the two models also appear quite different, with Strats having plastic controls and the Tele having metallic ones. The name Fender is synonymous with two of the most popular guitars on the market today. The Stratocaster still inspires imitators more than 50 years since it was first released, and the Telecaster has carved its own niche in the market with artists such as Bruce Springsteen being known to play them.

Music

Typecast was formed in the year 2000 in Laguna Province. they were originally a quartet doing cover songs, and eventually started making original compositions. As they were gathering more listeners with their increasing popularity, two members left  leaving them with the option to obtain  a new guitarist. This was later done in the inclusion of Steve Frank Badiola who did both vocals and guitar. With the release of the album Every Moss And Cubweb in 2006, the band has added a new guitarist , Frank Fletchero.
Typecast released their debut CD titled Last Time which is an independent release. The lead single of the album, also entitled "Last Time", got the group a guest appearance in the radio station NU 107’s program In The Raw. Since then, their popularity in the underground music scene increased. They also performed in large musical events such as the Fete de la Musique 2005, and also did the opening act for the foreign band Good Charlotte in the latter band’s Manila tour. The band, along with other famous Filipino rock bands like Kamikazee, Kjwan and Moonstar 88; contributed in the compilation album Rok On! for Philippine Ragnarok Online.
They also released their second album entitled The Infatuation Is Always There that features 12 sound tracks with the Infatuation Is Always There as the carrier single of the band.
Their third album entitled Every Moss And Cubweb features the song " Will You Ever Learn" which won the  " Song of the Year" category in the NU Rock Awards in 2007.

This is one best band in the Philippines for they play greate music that has the quality of international bands for they are the number one  Top Artist in MySpace all over Southeast Asia. Typecast pioneered the social networking website as a venue for independent music in Southeast Asia and holds the most number of friends and fans in the area. having been often been mistaken as an American band, Geoff Rickly of the band Thursday said that reminds him of the Post-Rock band explosions in the sky. They have been reviewed as one of the most influential Rock Bands in Southeast Asia according to an online magazine based in Singapore and Malaysia.

For me the music industry in the Philippines is growing and that by having the band TYPECAST  makes it more interesting and also the local music can now compete with the international groups.

Beers

Beer is the world's most widely consumed alcoholic beverage; it is the third-most popular drink overall, after water and tea. It is thought by some to be the oldest fermented beverage. Beer is produced by the saccharification of starch and fermentation of the resulting sugar. The starch and saccharification enzymes are often derived from malted cereal grains, most commonly malted barley and malted wheat. Unmalted maize and rice are widely used adjuncts to lighten the flavor because of their lower cost. The preparation of beer is called brewing. Most beer is flavoured with hops, which add bitterness and act as a natural preservative, though other flavourings such as herbs or fruit may occasionally be included. To me beer is a stress taker, it makes me relax despite of all things that I have done in a busy day. There are many kinds of beer, I'm going to mention the local beers in the Philippines. These beers are San Miguel Pale Pilsen, Redhorse, San Miguel Light, San Miguel extra Strong, Beer na beer, and Gold Eagle beer. To me the beer for the older part of the market is on the San Miguel Pale Pilsen, the middle aged group are on Redhorse, and San Miguel extra strong because it pack more punch than other local beers and and to the ladies in this age group tends to drink San Miguel light because its light on the stomach and doesn't gives them a beer belly, so these suits the middle aged people, and lastly the beer for those who are are hard working and who are indigent drinks Beer na beer or Gold Eagle beer because its with in there budget reach. So go and drink a beer, have fun and a stress free life.
